University Information Network and Data Center was established in 2005 by Alexandria University as one of the ICTP projects under supervision of some Faculty of Engineering's finest professors and engineers to function as university data communications and Internet gate. Department is located in Administration building of Faculty of Engineering which considered the Head Quarter of the university network.

Egyptian Universities Network (EUN) is considered the Internet Service Provider to the University hence Network HQ is a service provider for all the faculties of Alexandria University. Information Network and Data Center services cover the communications needs of faculties'. University Network Department purpose is to cater for everybody's needs online.
